Biodiversity
China is one of the countries with the highest abundance of bird species, it has about 1,221 different species. Most of these species are permanent but some migrate for seasonal reasons. 40,000 species of organisms are threatened because 15 to 20 percent of different plant varieties are endangered. Some relevant government departments are working on preserving genetic resources, so that they can try to fix the problem. Around 250 wildlife breeding centers were established to save the endangered wildlife. Because of these efforts many of the species in China have begun steady population growth including the Golden Monkey, Chinese Alligator, Tiger, Snow Leopard, and many more ("Biodiversity," ).
